Broken Wings is a musical event held by Cita Hati Senior School regarding our nature. It is a huge production, which involves more than 100 students who collaborated in orchestra, dance, choir, and theater. The preparation itself took 8 months and it was held at Galaxy Mall and is open for public. The show is divided into 2 sessions, the first one is from 16.30-18.30 and the second one is from 19.00-21.00. The ticket is sold in three different classes, platinum, gold, and silver. The platinum class is sold for Rp.150000, the gold class is sold for Rp.100000, and the silver class is sold for Rp.50000. In order to make this program a huge success, cooperation and participation is needed for the ticket sales. Me and some other students were asked to sell tickets for one week to help the ticket sales. We were given a form and we were asked to input all of the data to the online booking system, in which we would receive a code. That code is a reference code, which will be needed to print the ticket after the payment, is done. Every day we had to update the ticket sales to check on the availability of the seats. After the week is done, me and my team (Gerry and Nadia) were able to raise Rp.1800000 for 18 tickets of gold class.
On the day of the show itself, it seems that almost all of the seats were filled, and we were given an entertaining show. The orchestra and choir were very spectacular, the dances were very fluent, and the acting was very nicely done. I am very proud of the program and that people from outside the school get to see what the students are able to do and they get a message of saving the environment. One thing about Cita Hati that i am very proud of is that the school encourages the students to showcase their talents and giving room for the students to improve their talents by production like this. Even a lot of people are eager to have the Broken Wings soundtrack, because the songs are very well composed. Although I wasn’t involved in the musical production itself, I am still very proud that I could get a chance of promoting the event to people outside the school. I hope to be able to participate in school programs like this again =)
